Hans Witschi(New York/Switzerland) constructs an evolution-like order out of images of limbs he derives from thousands of newspaper clippings. He re-creates an anthropological development as a kind of universal frieze which is legible according to what medium is selected: unfolding page after page as an artist’s book or as an active webpage and makes forget which source those images stem from.
